Reporting Saves Lives

Nobody wants an incident to happen at the workplace. No matter how much time or money you think you can save by ignoring the safety of your workers, it is never worth it if an incident occurs, and a worker loses his or her life.

It is therefore crucial that you be kept informed of any unsafe situations that might arise from your business operations. Here’s what you can do as an employer:

  • icon 1
Set up an internal reporting system so that your workers can be your eyes and ears on the ground to prevent workplace incidents.
  • icon 2
Build a culture of trust between yourself and your workers, so that they are comfortable in informing you of any unsafe situations.
  • icon 3
Assure your workers by taking action promptly and addressing their feedback to show that their safety matters to you. Ultimately, Reporting Saves Lives.

An officer of the company, including CEs and Board of Directors, can be held accountable for all aspects of the company’s operations. This includes ensuring the safety and health of all employees.

Failure to implement precautions to safeguard the well-being of employees can potentially lead to imprisonment for up to two years, a fine of up to $200,000, or both.
